Martina Hauser Position: CEO
Martina Hauser, founder and CEO of 7 HILLS ltd is an Italian – Montenegrin economist and investor specialised in financial markets as well as the environment and climate change.
Martina received her Bachelor’s Degree with First Class Honours in business administration from “LUISS” Guido Carli University in Roma in 1993 followed by a master in Energy Resources and Management in 2008. Shortly after beginning her career, Martina was ordained with the Knighthood of Italy “Cavaliere del Lavoro” by president Carlo Azeglio Ciampi – in honour of her work dedicated to creating and improving working and living conditions throughout the Balkan region, Italy and globally.
Among the hundreds of projects Martina was leading on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Environment in the following years, she undertook the position of city counsellor to the city of Cosenza. Between 2011- 2014 she headed the environmental sustainability and renewable energies.
Martina gave two TEDx talks, first one in 2012 – TEDxRio +20, and the second one in 2018 – TEDxBudva where she shared her experience working in 4 continents and 24 countries globally and what is her view on what is important in this fast-changing and profit-oriented world.
The culmination of years of on the international stage negotiating, investing and leading in environmentally conscious projects resulted in the creation of 7HILLS in 2014 which today is a sustainable, environment – friendly and human-centric company aimed at developing sustainable tourism ventures, hotels and eco-resorts within Montenegro and beyond.
7HILLS also aims at integrating refugees into society and as such has committed to hiring and legalising the status of many refugees and will continue to do so.
Between 2015 – 2018 7HILLS has inaugurated its first two boutique hotels in Montenegro “Bed & Bike”, followed by Vila Perast. Other projects included developing an eco-cottage Muo, Riverside property and opening the concept store Mood in The Chedi Lustica Bay. Future developing projects started in 2019 include an Eco – Resort on Skadar Lake and Golf Clubhouse hotel in Lustica, Montenegro. This will be followed by a project proposal to convert historical heritage sites into boutique hotels in Oman.
Martina constantly creates new business opportunities, conquers new destinations, meets new people. She shares ideas worth spreading in order to motivate people to live a more meaningful and conscious life. Her team at 7HILLS believe in the company’s mission as much as she does.
